Blue EGF Calming Mist
The Blue Line's bi-phase mist in a Q&A: what it is, why it needs a shake, when clients use it and how to demo it at the counter.
The Blue EGF Calming Mist is the Blue Line's grab-and-go step. It sells at $28.00 MSRP and works on face and body. Here are the questions your staff will hear, with answers they can use.
What is it?
A bi-phase cooling mist made for oily-dehydrated, sensitive-feeling and blemish-prone skin routines. The formula is 9.3 parts water to 0.7 parts oil, which is why the bottle shows two layers. It is designed to give deep-feeling hydration without a sticky or oily finish.
Why does it need a shake?
The water and oil phases separate at rest. Clients should shake well before each use so every spray carries both. Make this the first thing staff say, every time.
What's in it?
- EGF (sh-Oligopeptide-1) at 5 ppm and FGF (sh-Polypeptide-1) at 5 ppm.
- Guaiazulene at 300 ppm. It is a naturally derived blue compound best known from chamomile, and the anchor of the Blue Line.
- Madecassoside, ectoin and zinc PCA.
- Alpha-bisabolol and 3D Hyal, a hyaluronic acid crosspolymer.
The ingredient list shows no added fragrance.
When do clients use it?
Morning, midday or night, whenever skin wants a cooling reset. It can go over makeup. Spray 3 to 4 pumps from a comfortable distance and let it absorb on its own. Good moments to suggest: after a commute, after the gym, on a flight or at a desk in the afternoon. Because it is a face and body mist, clients can also use it on the neck, chest and shoulders.
Who should you hand it to?
- Clients with oily skin that still feels tight.
- Sensitive-feeling skin that wants a light, cooling step.
- Makeup wearers who want a midday refresh without starting over.
- Anyone already using the EGF Blue Youth Activating Drop who asks for something to carry in a bag.
How do I demo it?
- Hold the bottle up so the client sees the two layers.
- Shake it in front of them. Watching the layers mix is part of the demo.
- Spray once on the inside of the wrist or the back of the hand, from arm's length.
- Wait thirty seconds, then ask how it feels. Point out that it dries down without a greasy film.
- If the client is wearing makeup and agrees, mist the face with eyes closed.
Where does it go on the shelf?
Place it with other Blue Line items, or build a small refresh zone near the register. A mist is an easy add-on at checkout, and a tester there does its own talking. Wipe the tester nozzle at the start of each day.
At the counter: "Shake it first, then three or four sprays. It's a cooling, lightweight layer you can use over makeup or on your neck and shoulders after the gym."
