Gentle Black Facial Cleanser
A mild low-pH foaming cleanser: what's in it, who it suits, and how to demo the lather and rinse with or without a sink.

The Gentle Black Facial Cleanser is a daily foaming cleanser, 140 mL at $16.00 MSRP. It is a simple product to explain and an easy one to demo, which makes it a good first sale for a client new to the brand.
The short version
- Mild and low-pH.
- A creamy formula that builds a dense, soft foam.
- Designed to remove daily buildup, fine dust and residue without leaving skin feeling stripped.
- Built around the Klairs Black Complex, including truffle, blackberry and black cumin extracts, for a hydrated-looking finish.
- Also on the ingredient list: ceramide NP, beta-glucan and centella asiatica.
- No added fragrance.
The name ties back to the Black Complex, which gives staff an easy opening line.
Who it suits
- Clients who dislike the tight, squeaky feeling some foams leave.
- Sensitive-feeling skin that still wants a foam.
- Anyone who double cleanses and needs a gentle second step.
- Clients who want one cleanser for morning and evening.
How to demo lather and rinse
With a sink
- Wet the client's hands with lukewarm water.
- Dispense a pea-sized amount into one palm.
- Have them rub their palms together with a little more water until the foam builds. Point out the dense, soft texture.
- Massage the foam over the back of one hand for twenty seconds, then rinse.
- Pat dry and ask them to touch the spot. The talking point is how skin feels after rinsing.
Without a sink
- Keep a small spray bottle of water and a stack of disposable cloths at the counter.
- Spritz your own palm, lather a small amount and show the foam.
- Put a dab of foam on the back of the client's hand, work it for a few seconds and wipe it off with a damp cloth.
Two questions you'll hear
Does it take off makeup? It is designed for daily buildup and residue. For heavy or long-wear makeup, suggest a first cleanse with an oil or balm, then this foam.
What comes after it? The rest of the routine, starting with a first serum such as the EGF Blue Youth Activating Drop, then toner and moisturizer. In the morning, finish with an SPF.
Keep it in stock
A cleanser is a product clients use every day, so your shelf count is a useful signal. Try this rule of thumb: count units each Monday and reorder when you are down to the number you usually sell in the time your orders take to arrive, plus a small buffer. Face it at the start of any routine display, on the far left, so the eye reads cleanser first.
At the counter: "Lather it in wet hands first and you'll see a soft, dense foam. It's a gentle low-pH cleanser, made so skin feels comfortable after rinsing."
