EGF Blue Calming Toner Pad
A two-sided cotton pad that wipes or sits as a short mask. Who it suits, where it fits in a routine and how to demo it.
The EGF Blue Calming Toner Pad is a set of dual-sided pure cotton pads in a blue toner formula. It sells at $28.00 MSRP. It is made for oily, combination and sensitive skin routines that want smoothing, cooling and hydration in one step. The short way to say it to a client: one pad, two jobs.
Two sides, two uses
- Wipe. The gauze side has texture. Swept over skin after cleansing, it gently refines uneven texture and buffs away dead skin cells.
- Mask. The soft gel side can rest on skin for 2 to 3 minutes as a mini sheet mask. Clients can place it on the cheeks, forehead or chin, wherever skin feels warm or tight.
The second use is what makes this pad easy to talk about. It turns a quick wipe into a short pause in the routine.
What gives it the blue
The color comes from guaiazulene, a naturally derived blue compound best known from chamomile. There is no artificial coloring, and the shade can vary slightly batch to batch without affecting quality. Guaiazulene is the anchor of the Blue Line, which Dear, Klairs positions around irritation relief and barrier care. The formula also features CICA Exosome and EGF (listed as sh-Oligopeptide-1), with centella asiatica, allantoin and several forms of hyaluronic acid on the ingredient list. It has no added fragrance.
Who it suits
- Oily and combination skin that wants a quick smoothing step without a separate exfoliating product.
- Sensitive-feeling skin that likes a cooling, low-effort step.
- Clients who skip sheet masks because they take too long. Two or three minutes is an easier ask.
- Gym bags, travel and busy mornings, where one product needs to cover two steps.
Where it sits in a routine
The pad goes in the toner slot, right after cleansing. If a client also uses the EGF Blue Youth Activating Drop, the Drop comes first after cleansing, then the pad, then a moisturizer. In the morning, finish with an SPF.
How to demo it in five minutes
- Lift one pad from the tester with clean tongs. Never let clients reach into a tester with their fingers.
- Show both sides on the back of the client's hand. Let them feel the gauze texture, then the smooth side.
- Wipe a small patch with the gauze side, using light outward strokes.
- Flip the pad and lay the gel side on the same spot while you walk through the routine.
- Lift it off after two minutes and have the client touch the spot. The talking points are the cooling feel and the smooth finish.
Shelf setup
Face the pad next to other Blue Line items so the color reads as a set. Keep the open tester behind the counter with its tongs, and write the opening date on the lid. Put a small card on the shelf that shows the two uses as a 1 and a 2.
At the counter: "Wipe with the textured side to smooth, or flip it and leave the soft side on for two or three minutes as a quick mask. One pad, two ways."
The pad pairs naturally with the rest of the Blue Line. See case packs in the catalog.
