Halloween makeup week: gentle removal and next-day recovery
Halloween lands on a Saturday. A double-cleanse routine, a calm next-morning routine and a stock timeline for your shelf.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so costume parties will run across the whole weekend. Face paint, glitter, long-wear foundation and lash glue all need to come off, and the next morning skin can feel tight and look tired. That gives you a clear seasonal reason to talk about gentle removal and a calm next-day routine.
The night of: double cleanse
A double cleanse is two passes with two different cleansers. Share it as a simple sequence:
- First pass: an oil or balm cleanser on dry skin to loosen makeup and paint. Massage, add a little water to emulsify, then rinse.
- Second pass: Gentle Black Facial Cleanser (140 mL, $16.00 MSRP). A mild low-pH cleanser with a creamy formula that makes a dense, soft foam. Lather it with wet palms, massage gently and rinse with lukewarm water. It is designed to wash away residue without leaving skin feeling stripped.
- Pat dry. If glitter is still hanging on, try another round of the first cleanser instead of scrubbing with a washcloth.
If you carry the Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil, shelve it beside the foam so the pair reads as a two-step set.
The morning after: calm and simple
- Blue EGF Calming Mist ($28.00 MSRP). Shake well, then 3 to 4 pumps for a cooling reset. It carries guaiazulene, madecassoside and ectoin, with no added fragrance.
- Midnight Blue Calming Cream (60 g, $31.00 MSRP; 30 g, $25.00 MSRP; 20 g, $12.00 MSRP). A lightweight gel-type calming moisturizer with guaiazulene and ceramide NP, applied in thin layers as the last skincare step.
- An SPF to finish, even if the day is spent on the couch.
The mist can come back out midday, and over makeup for anyone heading to a second party.
Your stock timeline
- This week: check on-hand counts for the cleanser, the mist and the cream, and place any order now to leave room for transit.
- By Oct 17: build a small "after the party" display with the cleanser on the left, the mist in the center and the cream on the right.
- Oct 26 to 30: put a routine card at the register and brief staff on the script below.
- Nov 1 to 7: keep the display up. The next-day routine still applies after the weekend.
Staff checklist
- Know the order: oil or balm first, foam second.
- Recommend lukewarm water, gentle hands and no scrubbing.
- For lash glue and costume adhesives, suggest the remover made for that product.
- Keep a mist tester on the counter and a 20 g cream at the register for an easy add-on.
At the counter: "After the party, take it off in two passes: an oil first, then this gentle foam. The next morning, a few sprays of the mist and a thin layer of the blue cream."
